"Healing the mind and body to keep you in a State of Balance"

As an acupuncturist trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I can help you improve your vitality and health.

Yin and Yang are the two fundamental categories in Chinese medicine through which everything in the universe can be understood. Light and dark, hot and cold, dry and wet, inside and outside...everything can be seen in terms of yin and yang. For Chinese medicine practitioners, health in the human body is simply yin and yang in a state of dynamic balance. Illness occurs when this balance is disturbed. The goal of Chinese medicine, regardless of the modality, is to restore this equilibrium.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most used forms of medicine in the world, originating in China more than 2,500 years ago.

Acupuncture works to rebalance the nervous system so your body can properly function and heal itself. There is a natural flow of qi (life force energy) and blood throughout a healthy body. The needles help direct this flow back to a balanced state when there is a dysfunction that is causing “dis-ease”.

Bundles of nerves are found beneath the main acupuncture points. When a needle penetrates the skin, not only is a domino effect of neurotransmitters and hormones released from this action, but also the nervous system is stimulated for the purpose of always working to bring the body back into balance.
